Pauline and Stewart's wedding at Woodborough Hall, Nottingham

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Pauline and Stewart's wedding which took place at Woodborough Hall.    Pauline and Stewart wrote their own vows which were beautiful and I think it's fair to say that it was a very emotional service.

Pauline looked gorgeous and Stewart looked very cool too!  They are a wonderful couple with great children and I wish them lots of happiness in the future together.

A big thank you to the Tillyboo Events for co-ordinating a perfect wedding.

Flowers are by Floraldeco and make up by Sarah J Gamble.

just for fun...Stewart takes a dip!

some fancy hula-hooping being demonstrated here....

and outdoor games were brought for the children....including the big children!

Thank you from Claudine and Richard

Here is an extract from an email I received last week from Claudine whose wedding in Nottingham is blogged below::-

"The photos are wonderful....

I have just spent almost an hour on my own looking at the slide show, thank you so, so much....

They have captured the day perfectly..."

Claudine and Richard - Wedding Photography Nottingham and Norwood Park

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Claudine and Richard's wedding. The bridal preparations took place at Claudine and Richard's home and the service took place in stunning The Ballroom at the Council Offices in the Old Market Square, Nottingham.   The reception followed at Norwood Park and the sun shone all day.

As you can see, Claudine is naturally beautiful and she looked simply stunning.  I wish both Claudine and Richard lots of happiness in the future.

Here are a few of my favourites from the day:-

a surprise guest....

Thank you from Polly and Robert

I received another lovely thank you message this week, this time from Polly and Robert who were married last month in Knossington:-

"Hi Alison,

We have been looking through these all day - I can't put into words how happy we are with them! You've completely managed to capture the day, and we both thought it was like having a storybook of the day, it's brilliant. On the first run through of them I was between tears and a lot of laughter, the style is perfect and I am SO glad we have your photos to remember the day by!

I'm not sure how we're going to manage to select only 60 of these for the album...we love all 600....

Thank you so so much. It is truly wonderful to have such a professional, expert and stylish memory of our day. We are so unbelievably pleased you were our photographer!

Polly and Rob x"

Thank you from Jamillah and Ken

I received a lovely message from Jamillah and Ken whose wedding I photographed last month:-

"Thanks so much for all you have done! The photos are amazing. Thanks for the extra CDs too as that sorts us something to give to the parents!  I think your work's amazing!

We're in the process of choosing our favourites for the album and will let you know soon!"

Grape Seed Oil flowers

Having recently received some prints of my son, I thought I would share a few of them which I took a while back in some grape seed oil fields.  We actually visited this spot for two different sessions, hence the different clothes in the last one.  I'm sure there will be more to post when I go through the full set but until then:-

It's hat's off....

The next one was totally Luther's choice to sit down amongst the flowers....honest...

Engagement portrait session

I have quite a bit of blogging to catch up on it seems, the next one is Faye and Mark's engagement portrait session which took place at Elvaston Castle.  Faye and Mark are getting married in a couple of weeks and I'm really looking forward to their special day at The Priest House.  Here are a few of my favourites images from their portrait session:-

Polly and Robert's wedding

Polly and Robert's wedding took place in the beautiful village of Knossington, nr Leicester.  Polly and her father literally walked up the road to St. Peter's Church where Polly and Robert were married.  The celebrations were enjoyed at a marquee down the road, again within walking distance.

Polly looked effortlessly chic and gorgeous and it really was a pleasure to part of their special day.  Polly and Robert are a great couple, always laughing and have wonderful family and friends.

The sun shone all day and here are are few of my favourites images from the day:-

the look of a very happy groom ....

The next image is one of those moments where Polly wonders where her father is going with his speech.....

....but Polly and Robert (and everyone else) saw the funny side....

There was an excellent choice of music for the evening (made me want to go out and dance!) and it all started with the first dance, Staying Alive.....

then everyone joined Polly and Robert on the dance floor and this young man had quite a few turns breakdancing....

Nicola and David's wedding

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Nicola and David's wedding at The Priest House.  Nicola looked absolutely beautiful and she certainly captured everyone with her beauty.  Nicola and David are a great couple and I wish them all the happiness for the future.

The weather on the day was not very kind to us although this didn't dampen the love! Nicola, David and the guests did brave the rain for a few outdoor group shots just before their wedding breakfast meal but the all of their bride and groom portraits were taken inside.

A big thank you to Tillyboo Events for perfectly co-ordinating the day in their usual high standard.

Here's a sneak preview for Nicola and David of some of my favourite shots:-

Here's a great idea of a way to say 'thank you' to your guest...the cards were made by the talented Tillyboo Events.

Just for fun, a few football photos ...

As it's England's first game today, I thought I would share a few fun football photos (with captions) of my son:-

"Yay - England scored"

"Hmmm - not much happening here ... "

"Easy-peasy - I'll just read my newspaper"

"Whoops - I let a goal in, better hide"

"Time to show some fancy footwork..."

"Ok, time for press photos ....

"and one with a little smile"

Jamillah and Ken's wedding

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jamillah and Ken at Woodborough Hall.  If you remember, last Saturday evening and Sunday morning we had torrential rain causing floods and damage to many places.  Woodborough Hall received a bit of that damage but thanks to their staff and the girls at Tillyboo Events, they did an amazing turnaround and the wedding went ahead perfectly.  As Jamillah said to me, "this is where wedding planners are worth their weight in gold".  Tillyboo always excel in their work and today was no exception.  It was perfect co-ordination so a big thank you to Tillyboo.

The bridal preparations started at Jamillah's parents' home and the rest of the day was celebrated at Woodborough Hall.  Jamillah is gorgeous and looked absolutely stunning and Ken looked very cool in his kilt.  It was clear that Jamillah and Ken were made for each other and it was truly a delight to be part of their special day.

Amazingly, the rain stopped for parts of the day, even turning sunny, and Jamillah and Ken were a pleasure to photograph.  I hope Jamillah and Ken have an amazing honeymoon and, as promised to them, here's a preview of the photos from which you see, there was lots of laughter.

Make up by Sarah J Gamble.

and here's one of the ring bearer giving his heart to flower girl ...

Engagement portrait session

I recently met the lovely Claudine and Richard for their engagement portrait session which we did in their gardens at home.  We also took the opportunity to get some photos of their gorgeous children and I am looking forward to seeing them all again next month for their wedding.  Here are a few of my favourites from their session:-

Engagement Portrait Session

Prior to me going on holiday, I had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca and Adam for their engagement portrait session.  Rebecca and Adam live in Australia and were back in the UK sorting out wedding plans and seeing family so we took the opportunity to go for a walk along the Goose Fair Park and get a few photos .  Their chilled out personalities made me want to move out there and I look forward to seeing them again in September.  Until then, here's a few of my favourite images:-

Website update

Ok, following my last two posts regarding the position of my website, I am pleased to say all appears to be up and running.  Phew! I've worked endlessly over the last two days to restore all of the images on my website and blog and would like to thank my clients for their patience.   Other work did have to be put hold whilst I sorted my website out and, again, thank you to those involved for their patience.  I believe I have re-uploaded all client galleries now but if anyone is having trouble accessing their gallery, please contact me.

WEBSITE UPDATE

Following my earlier post today regarding my website disappearing from my hosting company's server, I am pleased to say the website is now back online and I have started to rebuild the pages and portfolio galleries.   I am still in the process of uploading all client galleries so if yours is not showing at the moment, please bear with me.

With regard to the blog images, these may take a little longer to appear as each image is uploaded individually.  I am working with my hosting company to get these sorted quicker than originally anticipated so, again if you can please bear with me that would be helpful.
